"Style is a simple way of saying complicated things..." - Jean Cocteau
Beyond all the different grape varieties and wine regions of the world, how a wine is made makes just as big an impact on what comes out of the bottle. Almost any grape can be made into any style, or category, of wine including sparkling, rosé, and sweet or fortified wines. Our Wines with Style Series explores the very diverse regions, grapes and production methods used in these wine styles and examines how their attributes may be perceived in your glass - blind.
We'll discover how these wines vary, even within their category, based on climate, soils and traditions in various international regions through a curated guided blind tasting in each class. This powerful four-class educational series is eye opening for enthusiasts and a must for professionals and those studying for certification exams.
Over 24 wines will be tasted in all. Each is carefully selected by Master Sommelier David Glancy and our Cellar Master to bring learning objectives to life and practice your blind tasting technique. Each week will feature six+ curated wines from different grapes and regions, offering a hands-on experience that sharpens your palate and deepens your understanding of how winemaking choices shape flavor, texture, color and aromas.
Cost: $495
