Ales vs Lagers: What’s the Difference [March 28]

Saturday, March 28, 6:30pm-8pm ET

Beer consumers are faced with a dizzying array of choices when it's time to choose a beverage. Do you pick a Pilsner or a Porter? How about a Sour or a Saison? The options can be endless. One of the most basic ways of beginning to talk about beers is to simplify them by their production method, ales versus lagers.

In this informative class, Certified Cicerone™ Kim Simone will illustrate the differences between ales and lagers, and will guide you through a tasting of some of the most quintessential styles of each type. You'll start to understand how to taste the differences between them, and find other beers that you'll enjoy.

Cost: $85

Location: Commonwealth Wine School, Cambridge, MA

Instructor: Kim Simone
